Texas-born
Americana Rock musician Brian Coy mixes all genres into
his music such as country, blues, story-telling, and
rock n' roll. Coy has been on the acoustic circuit out
of Houston, Texas since 2008. Just a few short years
later, Coy found himself in Yellow Dog Studios,
recording with two of the top producers in the state –
Adam Odor, producer for Cody Canada and The Departed;
and Britt Lloyd of The Britt Lloyd Band. Coy’s debut
album, Pieces, took over five months – with one or two
days spent recording a month thus giving the album the
designated title. The album was released August 2nd,
2011 and has made quite the rumble in the Texas Scene.
Mike Ethan Messick states in the Texas Music Scene TV
blog that Coy has "a batch of songs that often ring
as true and clear as anything the genre’s heavyweights
have put out lately" and "it’s not hard to
imagine the scorching kick-off track “Highest of the
Low” finding its way to the upper end of the Texas
Music chart."
