About
the T3R Texas Regional Radio Music Awards
For
20 years, the Texas Regional Radio Report
(T3R) has produced a weekly ranked song chart
of airplay tracked on stations not only in
Texas, but throughout the USA. The
Texas/Red Dirt movement kicked off over 30
years ago with the likes of Pat Green, Kevin
Fowler, Robert Earl Keen, Randy Rogers Band,
Wade Bowen, Cross Canadian Ragweed, Jason
Boland, Roger Creager, Deryl Dodd, Charlie
Roberson and more. Radio programmers started
incorporating the music from these artists
into their playlists. The T3R created a
monitoring system to rank the songs according
to the airplay reported by the chart’s
partner stations. These artists blazed a
trail for new artists who are up for awards at
this year’s event. The Texas Regional Radio
Report Chart is carried in Billboard Magazine. Dave
Smith, owner of Texas Regional Radio Report,
believed in helping Texas Music grow by
starting the T3R Awards that honors artists,
radio, festivals, record producers and other
music industry professionals. The show is
co-produced by Tami Millspaugh and AJ Vallejo.
